Call for Papers

We are now accepting applications for Asia-Pacific Worlds in Motion IV (APWIM IV).

The theme for APWIM IV is Fixities and Fluidities: Navigating Dynamics in Migration. The theme foregrounds the interlocking dynamics of ‘fixities’ and ‘fluidities’ in migration today, from a range of social, cultural, political, and economic perspectives.

For full information on the conference theme and application process, download our CFP. Or download the APWIM IV Poster for a quick summary.

We’d like to acknowledge Kara Bermejo for the excellent APWIM logo and APWIM IV theme design. Kara is a freelance graphic designer based in Manila, Philippines.

Keynotes Unveiled

Hi everyone! We are hard at work with preparations to release the Call for Papers for APWIM4. Please check back on Wednesday July 20th, Singapore time, to find out more.

Meanwhile, we are very happy to share our list of confirmed plenary speakers. We can also look forward to a welcome address by Prof. Brenda Yeoh Saw Ai, currently Professor of Geography and Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at the National University of Singapore. Prof. Yeoh was the plenary speaker of the very first Asia-Pacific Worlds in Motion conference in 2008.
